Ingredients
· McCain® SureCrisp™ Frozen French Fries 1/4″ Premium Extra Long Shoestring
· White fish fillet (Cod/Haddock) – 480 g · Egg – 1 nos
· Soda water – 1 can · Tartar sauce – 1/2 cup
· Rice flour – 420 g · All-purpose flour – 100 g
· Baking powder – 1 tbsp · Baking soda – 1/2 tbsp
· Lemon – 1 nos · Large gherkins – 4 nos
· Salt & peppers
Directions
· In a large mixing bowl, mix the rice flour, baking powder and baking soda.
· Whisk the egg and soda water together with the mixture.
· Start battering the fish fillets by covering them with the all-purpose flour and then dipping them in the batter mix.
· Deep-fry the fillets at medium 180˚C for 5 minutes.
· Drain the excess oil with paper towels and reserve.
· Fry McCain® SureCrisp™ Frozen French Fries 1/4″ Premium Extra Long Shoestring for 2 minutes 30 seconds at 177˚C.
· Serve the fillets and the fries together with the lemon wedges, gherkins and tartar sauce.
